OUR VALUES

We believe, in the words of Dostoevsky, that "beauty will save the world".

We believe in a beauty in which ethics and aesthetics, virtue and excellence rediscover their original unity.

We believe in an art of values; in an art that is responsible and aware, in which an ethical approach, centered on the need for sense, is a fundamental and unavoidable condition.

We believe in an art which today, as in centuries past, is a place in which the values and identity of a society and a culture dwell, a place where one can educate and question oneself, in order to act on lives and intellect and thus produce change and progress.

We believe in the knowledge of art and not in knowing about art.

We believe in the unity and parity of esteem between the high arts and the applied arts, in the unity between artist and artificer, with the common aim of quality and excellence as an ethical choice, for a shared human project of beauty.

We believe in the unity between thought and action, between intellectual knowledge and manual intelligence, between the individuality of creative genius and the social value of action.

We believe that patronage and economic value are not at the service of art, but are an integral part of the artistic process.

We believe in the future, because where there is culture, design, activity and value there cannot be resignation or crisis.

We believe that a healthy company culture must be aware that profit without value is like the house in the Gospel that the foolish man built upon the sand: "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it." (Matthew 7; 26-27).

The mission that the Marilena Ferrari-FMR Group has set for itself, together with its patrons, its artists, its masters of Italian craftsmanship, its staff and collaborators, is that of contributing to the birth of a new season of beauty in Italy that is able to nourish modern society, characterized by the decline of ethical, aesthetic and economic values, with these very values.

We all realize that this may seem a utopia, but we will not stop exercising our profound duty to defend our right not to resign ourselves and to wait for others to act in our place.
